nicolasfox on "Possible to speed up wordfence?"

I read the FAQ question, "Will Wordfence Security slow my site down?" and there was NO answer to the question there.

I'm definitely seeing that wordfence adds about a second to my page load times. Is there a way to disable the firewall or is it all or nothing?
