Yesterday I received about 1300+/- login attempts, and got 1300+/- User Locked Out email notices from WordFence over the space of 12 hours (on one of my sites); I searched thru the Live Traffic Activity - and none of those attempts are reported there? I'm wondering why they wouldn't get logged?
Under Logins and Logouts WordFence lists My login today and the last entry before that is three failed attempts (not enough to trigger a lockout) from 11 days and 23 hours ago - nothing listed in between those two entries, nor were the 1300+/- attempts logged in ANY of the live traffic categories . . .
(The email notices came to me in batches of 61, except the last batch was 22) . . .
Also - My site has version 3.8.8, and no notice of any update available or needed - yet when I started looking into WordFence to submit this issue/question, there is a new version 4.0.3 available - Is this a beta or something? Otherwise - why doesn't my dashboard tell me there's a new version available?
