So I just went in again and changed the /wp-content/wflogs/config.php file back to be chmod'ed to 775 and owned by 'www-data:www'. An hour or so later I checked it and it is back to 'root:root' and WF is giving me write permission errors again.
This is the only file on my entire WP setup that is giving me this problem. Why would this be happening?
This s a pretty stock Ubuntu instance running on AWS with zero load and no other users able to access it. What is going on?
