Hello,
I set up a test website clone of the live site using WAMP. It is on a computer that is behind a firewall so there is no outside access and has been setup for a week. Wordfence was deleted with all settings removed as well as two other plugins. These were something we were testing conflict issues on. On checking the database for any entries and then reinstalling, it all looked ok. There were no records on the dashboard of anything blocked. When I came back today I see that there is activity and blocked countries and IPs.
Should this not be happening? Especially on a computer with a great firewall (no it’s not just the Windows firewall).
So my next step was to contact our network techs to ask them to check for holes of course. They could not detect anything suspicious. So are these numbers ‘fake’?
Any thoughts from the community?
