Scan doesn’t go through and bots attacking

Hi all,

I have been using Wordfence free for a few months now and yet since when I installed version 7 it started having the Scan Failed error. I have tried all the suggestions offered in the Troubleshooting, this is the error I get (with random number of minutes): “Scan Failed. The current scan looks like it has failed. Its last status update was 6 mins ago. You may continue to wait in case it resumes or stop and restart the scan. Some sites may need adjustments to run scans reliably.”

I’m not a technician, to be honest I can’t understand much of all this but I do know that I’m under a bot attack that is eating away my resources and CPU. I absolutely need to feel a bit more safer and I would love to scan my blog and have a working version of Wordfence. It means keeping my blog online, as at the moment I’m terrified they are trying to bring it down.

Can you please advise what to do? I tried to check the log after the attempted scan but it doesn’t show no errors. All I see is this: “Analyzed 3900 files containing 59.13 MB of data so far”.

As I mentioned I already went through all the steps suggested in the Troubleshooting section but I couldn’t sort it out. I’d love some help, thank you!
