Sorry, poor choice of words, you misunderstood me. What I meant is - whenever a post or page is changed/published, and some other events, the cache is emptied (for all pages/posts), correct?
And then - whenever the first person after the cache is empied visits a page/post, the cache for that page is regenerated, right? At least that is what happens when I activate FE.
For a site with few new posts and/or many visitors, this will probably work fine, since it is less likely that the same visitor will be the first (after the cache purge) to visit that many of the pages/posts.
However - for a site with less visitors, the chance increases quickly that the same visitor will be the one that triggers the regeneration of the cache for all/many of the pages/posts he/she visits. If he/she is the first visitor, that will even mean that every page loads really slow since he triggers the cache regeneration on every page (since he is the first visitor)...
So - for sites with less visitors but still some posting/editing-activity, a choice to "regnererate full cache after purge" would probably be very useful.
