Modified theme file “.stylelintrc-css.json” not actually modified

We’re getting a message that a file on our system differs from the repository — the file in question is

wp-content/themes/twentytwentyone/.stylelintrc-css.json

Additionally, when trying to perform a “View Differences” or “Repair file” operation, we get a WordFence API error:

WordFence API error: An error occured trying to open the requested file.

(btw. “occurred”, guys!).

We downloaded this file and checked against the latest WP download via diff – the file is 1:1 identical. The file (as far as we can tell) is accessible via HTTP, so it shouldn’t be an “access denied” issue, either.

We’ve reinstalled the 2021 theme, as well as WordFence (by deleting and re-uploading the files). No change in behaviour.
