Rule Update Failed – DMZ behind proxy

Hi,

We are using Wordfence and the server is in a DMZ and does not have access directly to the internet without proxy.

The proxy is well configured in wp-config.php with WP_PROXY_HOST and WP_PROXY_PORT but we still get “Rule Update Failed” error. The proxy is working for any other wordpress plugins on our server.

Error : No rules were updated. Please verify your website can reach the Wordfence servers.

How can we fix that ?
