Before I decide to install the free version of Wordfence first, I would like to get answers to the following questions:
1) Is it possible to limit the frequency of requests from bots such as facebookexternalhit/1.1, which can saturate the allocated CPU power on hosting with very intensive multiple requests. Unfortunately, this bot does not respect the restrictions in the robots.txt file?
2) Does Wordfence change the htaccess, wpconfig and robots.txt files in the free plan? And if so, does it not change the current user settings in these files?
3) Can you assess the impact of Wordfence on blog performance – what effect does installing the Wordfence plugin have on results from Lighthouse in Chrome or in https://pagespeed.web.dev/, for example?
