Hi Tim,
Thanks for your input.
Obviously Wordfence is an excellent product and from my lesser understanding, I see other great looking security tools... and they don't all do the same thing. so, it leaves me wondering if I need some of the features of the other tools. So, there's a natural desire to run 2 or 3 to cover all the bases.... yes, knowing that's overkill and can create other problems.
I guess if Wordfence chooses to not implement a feature that another tool thinks is important, it's probably for a good reason. There's an element of trust that the provider I choose is the right one for me (and I don't have the skill to make a valid decision).
Then there are the pro versions and the choice of price becomes a factor. Sorry for rattling on... but, these are [the] [real] issues that most of us deal with.
For now i'm switching all my sites to Wordfence free version, with cached turned off.
Thank you!
Stephen
